Benchmark Small Batch Bourbon (75cl, 45%)

Benchmark Small Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon at 45% ABV, distilled at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort and sold in a 750ml bottle. It carries no age statement. The Benchmark name comes from the surveyor's marks left by the McAfee brothers as they explored Kentucky in the 1770s. The line began in the 1960s as a Seagram's decanter bourbon and is now owned by the Sazerac Company. The nose is vanilla extract and caramel apple, with wet oak and a note of leather. The palate offers honey, caramel and soft grain, and the finish is short and sweet, with leather, oak and vanilla.
