Bender's Old Corn is an eight-year-old corn whiskey made from 100% corn and bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle. It is aged in charred oak barrels and made at the Treasure Island Distillery in San Francisco, California.
Each batch is distilled in two stages, first in a column still and then in a copper-lined pot still, and blended in small batches of 2,000 bottles or fewer.
The nose is sweet corn, orange creamsicle, vanilla and a hint of oak. The palate brings butterscotch, oak spice, orange peel and toffee, and the finish is warm and robust, with baking spice, rancio and a honeyed close.
