Beni di Batasiolo Grappa di Moscato (70cl, 40%)

This is a grappa from Batasiolo in Piemonte, distilled from the Moscato pomace left over from the estate's own Moscato wine. Pomace is the skins, pips and a little juice remaining after pressing, and here it keeps something of the grape's character. Bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, it is a clear spirit with an intense aroma like freshly picked Moscato grapes. The palate is full and ripe, with clear fruit and a sweet character. The finish is sweet and lingering. It is best served at room temperature, around 18-20°C.
