This is BenRiach 10 Year Old, a Speyside single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was a landmark release for the distillery, the first core expression made mainly from spirit produced since Billy Walker and his consortium bought BenRiach in 2004.
The colour is a full amber. The nose combines peaty, smoky malt with honey, fruit and oak. The palate pairs peat with a vanilla-milk character, alongside fruit, heather, nuts and oak.
The finish is medium to long, with peat, smoke, pepper, cream and vanilla.
