A 22-year-old Benriach single malt from Speyside, released by The Whisky Cellar in its Private Cellars Selection. It was distilled in December 1997, bottled in August 2020 and finished in a rum cask. The strength is 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration, from 189 bottles.
The nose combines gentle oak spice, ripe tropical fruit and brown sugar. On the palate come grilled pineapple, banana and melon, with old oak and demerara sweetness. The finish has good length, led by ginger and nutmeg.
