Benriach – 'The Original Ten' 10 Year Old (75cl, 43%)

Benriach The Original Ten is a 10-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was the flagship of the distillery's 2020 range, made from 100% malted barley with a trace of smoke beneath the fruit. The whisky is matured in three cask types, bourbon barrels, sherry casks and virgin oak, and then married together. The bourbon barrels bring vanilla and malt sweetness, the sherry casks dried fruit, and the virgin oak spice. The nose is rich orchard fruit, honey and toasted oak. The palate is ripe pear, nectarine and malt sweetness, and the finish is almond and spiced vanilla.
