This is a 35 year old single malt from Benromach, released in the Heritage Collection and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in the early 1980s, before Gordon & MacPhail revived the distillery.
It was matured exclusively in first-fill sherry casks and has a golden-amber colour.
The nose is orange marmalade, cinnamon bun, beeswax polish and leather. The palate opens with honey, kiwi and dense fruitcake, moving to white chocolate, dried tobacco and soft menthol. The finish is long and smooth, with charred oak, raisins and citrus peel.
