Benromach – Organic 2010 (75cl, 43%)

Benromach Organic 2010 is a single malt from Benromach in Forres, Moray, bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the 2010 vintage of an expression certified organic by the UK Soil Association at every step, from the Scottish barley through distillation, maturation and bottling. It was matured in virgin American oak casks rather than ex-bourbon, is unpeated and is non-chill filtered. The spirit was distilled in 2010. On the nose there is vanilla, crème brûlée and ripe apple. The palate is creamy, with pepper, honey, oak, ripe banana and a hint of leather, and the medium finish brings white chocolate and a floral note.
