Benromach Peat Smoke 2009 is a heavily peated Speyside single malt from Benromach Distillery in Forres, part of the distillery's Contrasts range. The barley was malted to 42ppm phenols. It was distilled in 2009, matured in first-fill bourbon casks in the distillery's traditional dungeons, and bottled in 2020. Bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle, it is non-chill-filtered and at natural colour. The tasting notes describe very rich smoke with vanilla and light citrus zest on the nose, toasted oak, honey, butterscotch and lemon sherbet on the palate, and a finish of mouth-coating sweetness and bonfire embers.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
