Bernheim Original 20th Anniversary is a 10 year old Kentucky straight wheat whiskey from Heaven Hill, bottled at cask strength, 57.5% ABV. It marks 20 years of Bernheim Wheat Whiskey, first introduced in 2005, and is a limited small batch release.
The mash bill is 51% wheat, 37% corn and 12% malted barley, and the whiskey was matured in new charred American oak.
The nose offers cinnamon, baking spice, vanilla, toasted oak and soft honeyed sweetness. The palate is rich and layered, with molasses, butterscotch, baked apple, caramel and warm spice. The finish is long and warming, with peppery spice, oak and lingering sweetness.
