This is a Ledaig from 2009, distilled at Tobermory distillery and matured in a single oloroso hogshead, cask number 700327. It was bottled at 14 years old and 53.5% ABV by Berry Bros. & Rudd.
The nose offers smouldering, earthy smoke with spiced fruit, roasted nuts, cherries and liquorice. On the palate come dark cherry chocolate, aniseed, orange oil, brown sugar and mineral smoke. The finish brings salted caramel and a little tropical fruit, with layers of smoke.
