Berry Bros & Rudd No. 3 London Dry Gin (70cl, 46%)

No. 3 London Dry Gin takes its name from the St. James's Street address of Berry Bros & Rudd. It is distilled in traditional copper pot stills from three fruits and three spices, in the classic London dry style. The fruits are Italian juniper, sweet Spanish orange peel and grapefruit peel. The spices are angelica root, which adds an earthy, drying quality, Moroccan coriander seed and cardamom pods. It is a classic, old-school gin that suits classic cocktails, and it can also be drunk neat. The gin is crystal clear. The nose is clean, crisp and fresh with juniper to the fore. On the palate juniper leads, supported by floral tones and warmth from the cardamom, with rich citrus and a gingery spice.
