Berry Bros & Rudd Teerenpeli 11 Year Old Single PX Sherry Cask 2014 (56.8%)

This is a single cask Finnish single malt from Teerenpeli, bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd at cask strength for its The Auld and the Bold series. It was distilled in 2014 and matured for 11 years entirely in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, then bottled at 56.8%. The release comprises 233 bottles. Teerenpeli was founded in 2002 and is one of the oldest malt whisky producers in Finland. It distils Finnish malted barley in traditional Scottish copper pot stills. The nose offers molasses, muscovado sugar, polished oak and Christmas pudding. Dates, dark chocolate, dried-fruit syrup and bittersweet cocoa follow on the palate, and the finish brings spiced oak, sticky fruitcake spices and a lingering PX richness.
