Bhakta 2011 Bourbon Armagnac Cask Finish Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 55.5%)

Bhakta 2011 Bourbon is the third release in the brand's annual single-vintage bourbon series. This Tennessee bourbon was distilled and first filled in September 2011, matured for 12 years and 10 months, then finished for 12 months in Armagnac casks drawn from Bhakta's own library, including vintages from 1973, 1975 and 1985. The release was composed of 11 barrels. It is bottled at 55.5% ABV, from a mash bill of 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley. Tasting notes mention maple and toasted almond on the nose, then cocoa, toffee, red fruit and rum raisin on the palate, with orange peel and a hint of char at the end.
