Big Nose Kate Blended American Whiskey (45%)

Big Nose Kate is an American blend of straight rye whiskey and American single malt whiskey, bottled at 45% ABV and non-chill-filtered. The mash bill at bottling is roughly 53.2% rye and 46.8% malted barley. Master blender Melissa Heim created it in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The spirits are aged for four to six years and batch-blended. The name comes from the frontier figure Big Nose Kate, whose life inspired the whiskey. The nose is dried fruit compote, biscuity grain, dark chocolate and coffee, with green apple and orange peel. The palate has dry sherry character, cherry, cereal grain and rye spice. The finish is warm with spice and cocoa, ending on a slightly dry oak edge.
