Big Peat 12 Year Old is a blended malt from Douglas Laing, made entirely from single malts distilled on Islay and part of the Remarkable Regional Malts range.
The blend draws on Caol Ila, Bowmore, Ardbeg and Port Ellen. Caol Ila is said to bring sweetness and Bowmore balance, Ardbeg adds medicinal and earthy notes, and Port Ellen contributes elegance.
It is bottled at 46% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colour, in a 70cl bottle.
