Big Peat 12 Year Old is a blended malt from Islay, put together by Douglas Laing as part of its Remarkable Regional Malts range. It is released in small batches. The blend draws on the character of four island distilleries: the vigour of Ardbeg, the distinctive style of Port Ellen, the iodine notes of Caol Ila and the spice that comes from Bowmore's maturations. The peat is dry and smoky.
