Big Peat The Black Edition is a 27 year old Islay blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, part of the Vintage Series. It was distilled in 1992, bottled in 2019 and matured in oak casks. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 48.3%, without colouring or chill-filtration. Big Peat is a blend of Islay single malts only. Caol Ila is the source of sweetness, Bowmore adds balance, Ardbeg brings a medicinal, earthy quality and Port Ellen a degree of elegance.
