Big Peat Prohibition USA Exclusive Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whisky Limited Edition (75cl, 54%)

This is a limited edition of Big Peat, the Islay blended malt from Douglas Laing, bottled at 54% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a small batch bottling, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring. The blend contains only Islay malts, among them Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and Port Ellen, now closed. The nose is fresh, salty and clean, with sweet malts dried over peat. On the palate come ash, sweet tar, smoking chimneys and a faint salty beach note, leading to a long, lingering phenolic finish.
