This is the Russian Edition of Big Peat, a blended malt made from robust, peaty malts selected for the Big Peat range. It is not chill filtered, a more old fashioned approach to bottling.
The malts were matured in the windswept warehouses of Islay, and the style is marked by a strong sea-faring character on the nose, palate and finish. It is a whisky suited to being drunk at leisure.
