Big Peat The Taiwan Edition is a peated Islay blended malt, bottled exclusively for TC Alliance in Taiwan in a limited run of 600 bottles.
It is pale gold in the glass, with a smoky, peaty character running through it.
The nose brings peat smoke, seaweed and sea air, with citrus zest and green apple underneath. On the palate it is rich and smoky, like a bonfire on the beach, balanced by toffee and honey, with black pepper and a little saltiness. The finish is long and warming, with ash and a medicinal touch before it softens to a gentle sweetness.
