Billecart-Salmon Réserve Brut is a non-rosé Champagne blended from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, and aged on the lees for 36 months before bottling.
The house was founded in 1818 in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and is still family run. It farms 220 hectares across 40 crus, and vinifies in small 50-hectolitre wooden casks, combined with cooled must and low-temperature fermentation in steel.
The nose has floral scents, fresh fruit and a slight touch of spice. The palate balances fruit with lively freshness, leading to an elegant finish.
