Bird Dog Black Cherry is a flavoured whiskey in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV by Western Spirits Beverage Company of Bowling Green, Kentucky. It starts with a Kentucky bourbon base of corn, wheat and rye aged in white oak barrels, with natural black cherry flavour blended in before bottling. It was released in May 2019.
The nose offers maraschino cherry, caramel and vanilla, with milk chocolate emerging in the glass. The palate is candy-sweet cherry with a thick, liqueur-like texture, building through vanilla and simple syrup to a cherry-caramel peak. The finish brings cherry syrup, mild oak and a hint of orange peel.
