Bird Dog Hot Cinnamon is a cinnamon-flavoured whiskey built on barrel-aged Kentucky bourbon, in a 750ml bottle at 40% ABV (80 proof).
Western Spirits Beverage Company of Bowling Green, Kentucky, makes it from a bourbon of corn, rye and barley, aged in oak barrels before natural cinnamon flavour is added. Limestone-filtered water from Kentucky's Blue Spring is used in production.
Cinnamon leads the nose, with warm bourbon, vanilla and toasted oak beneath. On the palate, red-hot cinnamon comes first, followed by vanilla, oak and caramel. The finish is medium in length, with warm cinnamon fading to caramel sweetness.
