Bird Dog Maple is a flavoured Kentucky bourbon whiskey, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is made by Western Spirits Beverage Company of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Barrel-aged bourbon, made from corn, rye and malted barley and matured in charred oak, is blended with real maple syrup rather than artificial flavouring.
The nose is led by maple syrup, with caramel and a hint of vanilla. The palate is soft and creamy, with butterscotch, brown sugar, molasses and maple, anchored by charred oak and light rye spice. The finish is gentle and of moderate length, with fading caramel.
