Bird Dog Peach Whiskey is a peach-flavoured Kentucky bourbon, bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 750ml bottle. Western Spirits Beverage Company makes it in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The base is a bourbon distilled from corn, rye and malted barley and aged in charred oak barrels. Natural peach flavouring is then infused into the aged spirit. It won a Gold medal at the North American Bourbon and Whiskey Competition.
The nose is fresh peach with soft warmth and a little vanilla. The palate is sweet and peachy, with vanilla and oak coming through at the middle. The finish is medium-short, with peach sweetness and a light dryness from the oak.
