Black Bowmore 1964 Final Edition is a 31 year old Islay single malt, distilled in 1964 and bottled in 1995 at 49% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in sherry casks and is the third of the six Black Bowmore releases.
The outturn was 1,812 bottles. Each is individually engraved and comes in a wooden presentation case.
The nose is floral and fragrant, with lavender, peat, coastal brine, dark dried fruits, old oak and dark chocolate. The palate is deep and velvety, with dark fruit, sherry wood and warming spice. The finish is long, with dried fruit, peat smoke and a lavender note.
