Black Bull 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky of malt and grain, bottled at 50% abv in a 700ml bottle. It was matured for 12 years in refill ex-bourbon American oak hogsheads, then finished in ex-Oloroso European butts, which give a nutty sherry influence alongside the chocolate character of the Black Bull range.
The nose is robust, with sherry, red fruits, cherries and toffee, plus a hint of vanilla and lemon sherbet. The palate brings creamy chocolate, fruit, honey, apple and nuttiness. The finish is long, silky and buttery with toffee.
