Black Bull 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 50% ABV. It is a brand of the independent bottler Duncan Taylor, made from equal parts malt and grain whisky, and matured in bourbon and sherry casks.
It is bottled without added colouring and without chill-filtration.
The nose is powerful and fruity, with a hint of sherry, caramel chocolate, vanilla and citrus. The palate is soft and round, with nutty milk chocolate, apples, pears and clear vanilla. The finish is long and creamy, with toffee and vanilla lingering.
