Black Bull 21 Year Old Scotch Whisky (75cl, 50%)

Black Bull 21 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky matured for 21 years in sherry and bourbon casks, bottled at 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle. Duncan Taylor of Huntly bottles it to the original 1864 formula, which Black Bull first used under Dundee blender George Willsher, and revived the brand in 2001. The blend is 55% malt to 45% grain, with a high proportion of Highland malts alongside Speyside and Islay. It is non-chill-filtered. The nose is citrus, red apples and tangerines with a touch of caramel. The palate is fresh and lively, with nutmeg and cloves giving way to vanilla and barley sugars. The finish is warming, with gentle pepper, nutty notes and toasted marshmallows.
