Black Bull Kyloe Peated (50%)

Kyloe Peated is a blended Scotch whisky from Black Bull, a brand of the independent bottler Duncan Taylor. It is bottled at 50% ABV and is made from equal parts malt and grain whisky. It has no added colouring and is not chill-filtered. Its smoke comes from maturation in casks that previously held peated malt. The name refers to a Scottish Highland cattle breed known for its robustness. The nose is strong smoke and caramel, then light salty, maritime notes, crisp apple and caramelised sugar. On the palate the smoke is coal-like, with malt sweets, toasted grain and nutty, spicy wood. The finish fades slowly into creamy vanilla, milky notes and oak spice.
