This is a small batch Kentucky straight bourbon from the revived Black Maple Hill brand, bottled at 47.5% ABV (95 proof) in a 70cl bottle. It carries no age statement. Rare Character Whiskey Co. assesses each barrel individually for depth, balance and individuality, and only barrels that meet its standard are chosen for the name. The strength matches that of the brand's earlier, best-known bottlings. On the nose there is caramel, vanilla and toasted oak, with brown sugar and citrus peel. The palate shows dried fruit, cinnamon and a gentle rye spice.
