A Highland single malt from Glenglassaugh, aged for 7.5 years and bottled at a cask strength of 56.7% in a 50cl bottle.
It matured in sherry wood and was then finished in two Pedro Ximénez casks: a first-fill hogshead from 1981 and a refill demi-fût.
The nose is rich with raisins, figs, dates and dark grape juice, alongside balsamic, clove, roasted nuts and dark chocolate. The palate is sweet and full, with caramelised dried fruit, crème brûlée and PX syrup, plus light tobacco and orange zest. The finish is long, sweet and spicy, with raisin bread, candied orange peel and a touch of espresso.
