Black & White Blended Scotch (175cl, 40%)

Black & White is a blended Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% ABV in a 1.75 litre bottle. The blend was first created in 1884 and takes its name from the black bottle and white label it was first sold in. It combines around 35 grain and malt whiskies, with grain making up 60 to 65 per cent, including Port Dundas and Cameronbridge. The malt comes mainly from Dalwhinnie in the Highlands. The nose is floral, with cut grass, citrus peel and a faint wisp of peat smoke, then honey, vanilla and ginger. The palate has vanilla, custard, cereal malt and pecan, with pepper and orange peel. The finish is medium, with vanilla, malt, citrus and gentle peat.
