Blackened American Whiskey by Metallica (75cl, 45%)

Blackened is an American whiskey made by Metallica with the late Master Distiller Dave Pickerell. It is a blend of straight bourbon and rye whiskeys from across North America, finished in brandy casks and bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. Each batch rests in the brandy casks while low-frequency sound waves from playlists chosen by the band pass through it, a proprietary step called Black Noise. The brandy casks add soft dark-fruit notes alongside the sweetness of the bourbon and the spice of the rye. The nose is burnt caramel and toasted oak with honey. The palate brings honey, cinnamon, allspice, clove, dark fruit and a hint of mint, and the finish is long and creamy with butterscotch, maple syrup and honey.
