Blackwood Toasted Rye Whiskey Barrel Strength Batch 3 (75cl)

This is a small batch American rye whiskey from Blackwood Distilling Co., Batch 3 of its Toasted Rye, bottled at barrel strength in a 75cl bottle and boxed. The toasted barrel adds oak character to the spice of the rye grain. The nose offers toasted oak, vanilla, baking spice, caramel and a touch of dark fruit. On the palate there is bold rye spice, brown sugar, pepper, charred wood, cinnamon and honey. The finish is long and warming, with oak, clove and a little sweetness.
