Blade and Bow Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Blade and Bow is a Kentucky straight bourbon made as a tribute to the Stitzel-Weller distillery. It is aged in new charred American white oak barrels. A solera system preserves some of the distillery's oldest stocks, including some of the last bourbon made there before it closed in 1992. That liquid is combined with other whiskies aged and bottled at Stitzel-Weller. The nose is gently fruity. On the palate there are dried apricot, ripe pear and sweet roasted grain, followed by charred oak and warm winter spices in the finish.
