Bladnoch 11 Year Old is a Lowland single malt matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 46.7% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
Bladnoch is Scotland's southernmost distillery, in Wigtownshire, founded in 1817 and revived in 2015 under its Australian owner David Prior. Master Distiller Dr. Nick Savage hand-selects each cask, and this whisky is unpeated.
The tasting notes describe delicate florals, honey, citrus and cut grass on the nose. The palate offers Parma Violets, fresh-cut apple and hints of wood spice, and the finish is sweet and mouth-coating.
