Bladnoch – 19 Year Old 2022 Release (70cl, 46.7%)

This is the 2022 release of Bladnoch 19 Year Old, a Lowland single malt from the distillery in the south of Scotland, founded in 1817. It is bottled at 46.7% in a 70cl bottle and comes in a presentation box. The whisky matured for 19 years in a combination of oak casks, and it is a limited annual release overseen by Master Distiller Dr Nick Savage. The nose is honeycomb, orchard fruit, vanilla, dried apricot and citrus peel with gentle oak spice. The palate is rich and silky, with baked apple, pear, toffee and cinnamon. The finish is long and warming, with spice, vanilla and dried fruit.
