Bladnoch – 19 Year Old (70cl, 46.7%)

Bladnoch 19 Year Old is a Lowland single malt bottled at 46.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the distillery's first Pedro Ximenez sherry cask expression, matured for nineteen years exclusively in first-fill PX casks under Master Distiller Dr Nick Savage. Bladnoch was founded in 1817 beside the River Bladnoch near Wigtown, and this bottling takes its long-standing light, floral Lowland style in a darker, sweeter direction. The nose offers dark liquorice, aged oak and a delicate floral backdrop. On the palate there are dark liquorice, dried apricots, almonds and warming nutmeg, followed by a long finish with an elegant dry sweetness.
