This Bladnoch was distilled in 1990 and bottled in July 2013 at 23 years old, at cask strength, as part of Cadenhead's Authentic Collection. It matured in a bourbon hogshead, and 282 bottles were produced.
The nose shows flowers, apple vinegar, vanilla, hay and open fields, and a drop of water brings out more apple vinegar along with some red apple. The palate is floral with a mild sweetness, with apparent wood tannins and spice of allspice and black pepper. The finish is medium, with spice on the tongue.
