Bladnoch – 30 Year Old (70cl, 45.5%)

Bladnoch 30 Year Old is a Lowland single malt distilled in 1990 at Bladnoch Distillery in Dumfries and Galloway. It matured in just two sherry casks, one Oloroso and one Moscatel, and is bottled at 45.5% in a 700ml bottle, non-chill filtered and at natural colour. Bladnoch was founded in 1817 and is Scotland's most southerly distillery. Production resumed in 2017, the year of its 200th anniversary, under owner David Prior. The nose offers dried apricots, florals, nutmeg and Seville orange. The palate is velvety, with almonds, marzipan and Seville orange, and the finish is light, floral and fruity with a crack of black pepper.
