This is a 34-year-old Lowland single malt from Bladnoch, distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2024 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 50.119, named Gallovidian Rhapsody. It belongs to the Society's Vaults Collection. It comes from a single ex-bourbon cask, and 235 bottles were produced. The notes describe honeysuckle, pomegranate and earl grey tea on the nose. Candied orange peel, hazelnuts and olive oil give the palate a rich, silky texture, and a little water brings out ginger wine, maple syrup and marmalade. The finish turns to dark chocolate, toasted almonds and tobacco.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
