Bladnoch Alinta is a peated Lowland single malt, the first smoky release from Bladnoch. It is part of the Twinned Cask Collection by Master Distiller Dr. Nick Savage and is bottled at 47% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and natural in colour.
It is made from 100% peated malt from a small annual peat campaign and matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and ex-bourbon barrels. The name means fire and flames in the Aboriginal languages of southeast Australia.
The nose is campfire smoke, smoky ice cream, delicate florals and sweet oak. The palate is smooth and weighty, with campfire embers, almonds, raisins and white chocolate. The finish is long, with lingering sweet smoke.
