This is a small batch release from Bladnoch, part of the Alinta Reserve series, bottled at 46.7% ABV without colouring or chill-filtration. The outturn was 2,000 bottles.
It was matured entirely in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, using only first fill PX hogsheads chosen by master blender Dr Nick Savage.
The nose offers smoked apricot jam and woodland notes. On the palate, smoky cola bottle sweets come with cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is long and warm, likened to a cosy campfire.
