Bladnoch – Alinta The Bold Collection (70cl, 43.4%)

Bladnoch Alinta is the peated bottling in the Bold Collection, a Lowland single malt bottled at 43.4% in a 70cl bottle. Its name means fire or flames, a nod to its smoky character. It was matured in ex-bourbon and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, which pair strong campfire smoke with sweet, fruity notes. It is bottled without added colouring and without chill-filtration. The nose offers smoky ice cream, delicate flowers and sweet oak. On the palate come campfire smoke, almonds and raisins alongside creamy white chocolate. The finish is long, shaped by sweet smoke.
