Alinta is a peated Lowland single malt from Bladnoch in Scotland, and the first peated bottling the distillery has released. It is part of the Twinned Cask Collection, bottled at 47% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in a combination of bourbon and PX sherry casks. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The name is said to mean 'fire and flames', which fits its smoky character.
The nose brings smoke, delicate vanilla and floral notes, together with sweet oak.
