Bladnoch Liora is a Lowland single malt from Bladnoch distillery in southern Scotland, bottled at 52.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is matured in both ex-bourbon barrels and new oak casks.
The name means "light for the city" in Hebrew and refers to the distillery's owner, David Prior.
The nose is of crisp, freshly cut apples with roasted caramel and delicate floral notes. On the palate come caramelised apple and baking spices, with the texture of new oak. The finish is long, gently warming and slightly dry.
