Bladnoch – Pure Scot Signature Scotch (75cl, 40%)

Bladnoch Pure Scot Signature is a blended Scotch whisky with no age statement, bottled at 40% ABV. It marries Bladnoch's own Lowland single malt with malts from Speyside, the Highlands and Islay, together with grain whisky. The Pure Scot range was created by Master Distiller Ian MacMillan at Bladnoch Distillery, which stands on the River Bladnoch in Wigtown and was founded in 1817. It is Scotland's southernmost distillery. The nose is old leather, toffee and fruit cake, with malt and a hint of smoke. The palate is full-bodied and mellow, with smokiness, ginger marmalade, sweet honeyed fruit and peppery warmth. The finish is spicy, smoky and long.
