Blair Athol 12 Year Old is a Highland single cask malt bottled at its natural cask strength of 56.1% ABV. It comes from a single first-fill ex-Bourbon barrel with a 27-month finish, and only 205 bottles were produced. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose offers warm vanilla pod, fresh coconut and orchard fruit, from baked apple and poached pear to apricot jam, with toasted almond and a little cinnamon. The palate is full-bodied and slightly oily, with vanilla cream, butterscotch, toasted oak, honeyed malt, dried tropical fruit, dark toffee and white pepper. The finish is long and warming, moving from sweetness to dry oak spice, vanilla and faint woodsmoke.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
